What is littering?
Littering is the growing bad habit of throwing away
litter carelessly or leaving it lying around in public
areas, without using the litter bins or wastepaper
baskets available.Littering is NOT the illegal waste disposal of rubbish
coming from households, industry or trade with the
intention of saving wastedisposal costs.A widely acclaimed littering study by the University
of Basel, MGU programme, published in April 2004 the
following different littering categories:
